3 winners to the LIV_IN Video Competition Pitch RI to Industry Leader

In the months of April and May 2019, LIV_IN hold a Video Competition on how to pitch Responsible Innovation to industry leaders. The jury selected 3 outstanding videos and awarded them prizes for best content, best clarity and best pitch.

For this first LIV_IN video competition, we received over 20 great submissions and it was not easy for our jury to select the winners. Our jury was composed of an expert panel of academic and industry representatives:

  • Luis Angel Galindo Sanchez, Head Executive of Innovation 2.0 at Telefonica, Spain
  • Lydia Montandon, Business Development Director at ATOS, Spain
  • Franz Dielacher, Senior Principal Engineer, Business Development and Innovations at Infineon Austria
  • Wilfried Konrad, Research Associate and Project Leader at Dialogik, Germany
  • Roxana Firth, Research Associate at DeMontfort University, in the UK
  • Andre Martinuzzi, Head of the Institute for Managing Sustainability at the Vienna University for Business and Economics in Austria.

Together, they selected 5 runners-up to the video competition. Because their videos appealed specifically to businesses and touched upon very concrete issues, the two runners-up receiving a sweet surprise and an invitation to join one of the LIV_IN first Joint Actions are:

The three remaining runners-up were of exceptional quality for different reasons and explained RRI to industry leaders in either a clear, a content-rich or a very motivating manner. As their strengths lied in different places, the jury decided to split the prize evenly between those three entrances and awarded…

  • Best content prize to Ineke Malsch, director of Malsch TechnoValuation, a consultant specialising in Technology Assessment of new technologies including nanotechnology, life sciences and other emerging technologies in their societal context – You can rewatch the video under this link: https://youtu.be/82sJkydw7Ro
  • Best clarity prize to Zoë Robaey and Britte Bouchaut, both from the Biotechnology and Society Group of the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
